2 Ghost Pirates and the Worlds Best Granola
I have had homemade granola on my mind lately. Then I read Dead Pirates of Cawsand, Blue Moon Investigations Book 5 ~ by Steve Higgs. As if I hadn’t already been craving homemade granola, the main character, Tempest Danger Michaels (yes, Danger IS his middle name…) finds the best granola on the planet!” He mentions the world’s best granola thirty times in the book! (32 if you include chapter titles) Needless to say, Tempest can not wait to have it. Every. Single. Morning. I’ve made two batches since I just finished this book and they didn’t last long!Read more
Bacon Peanut Butter Banana Cookies – Inspired by the Magical Bakery Mystery Series by Bailey Cates.
Early on during the pandemic, I had a difficult time reading. I just couldn’t keep my attention on any book, and everything seemed stressful. After a few months went by, I realized that Bailey Cates latest Magical Bakery series book was out. Her books are always uplifting and inspiring. They are never too dark, or heavy, just good clean reading that always allows my mind to let go of its burdens and get lost in the fantasy of the magical Honeybee Bakery.Read more
For those of you reading your way through quarantine, I want to share a special ebook from some of my all-time favorite authors! It’s a special edition eBook collection of three of the Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews. Instead of putting it on the book store sites for free, they have it priced at $.99 for a limited time with all proceeds going to the COVID-19 Response fund CPD Center for Disaster Philanthropy. (Link posted below) They also periodically post serials for free online, so you can read as the book is being written!
Happy Favorite FoodieBook Friday! This recipe for Coffee Glazed Banana Scones was inspired by Ilona Andrews Innkeeper Series.
My recipe for coffee glazed banana scones made with white whole wheat, Greek yogurt, and an espresso glaze that would put a smile on any vampire’s face! Favorite FoodieBooks Friday! Fluffy, Fluffy Pancakes with Coffee Syrup, Coffee & Ghosts!
I needed some lite reading, so I looked at the books I’ve read in my Kindle library. Coffee & Ghosts by Charity Tahmaseb brought a smile to my face. I don’t remember if BookBub, Riffle, or https://www.amazon.com/b?_encoding=UTF8&tag=ebookfoodie-20&linkCode=ur2&linkId=a1bfa602bc01f37d684c43fdc9f90031&camp=1789&creative=9325&node=25">AmazonAmazon referred it to me about a year ago, but knowing how much I love coffee, how could I go wrong with a book titled “Coffee & Ghosts?” Anyway, re-reading Coffee & Ghosts is just what I needed. I needed fluffy pancakes with coffee syrup!
They make a TON of coffee (and tea) in this book, and eat tons of buttermilk pancakes at the Springside Pancake House. I found myself inspired to make pancakes, but not just any pancakes, FLUFFY pancakes! Fluffy pancakes have been all over Pinterest lately. I like breakfast for dinner, but “husband” is not a fan. Too bad for him!Read more

Favorite FoodieBook Friday ~ It’s time for Fat Vampire Inspired Pizza!
One of the first eBook series I read was Fat Vampire. Honestly, I hadn’t picked up a book in YEARS. My friend told me about eBook design and I was like… “What the hell’s an eBook?” So, I started using my iPhone Books app and realized that I could adjust font size, screen color, and I could even change the FONT. Whaaaaaat! This was a game changer for me! My eyeballs LOVE adjusting the font size, line spacing and brightness!
