Guess What! I Won a Thing!

Copycat Panera Four Cheese Soufflé

My Copycat Panera Cheese Soufflé Recipe Won a Contest!

Remember my Copycat Panera Four-Cheese Breakfast Soufflé recipe I posted in May? Well, I was searching the web one day for “how to make a harvest apron” when I found a couple of contests on Instructables. I was also researching SEO and finding ways to generate traffic to my blog. So I figured that I’d join some recipe contests to see if more people visited and rated my recipes. I submitted 2 recipes and I made the winners circle! Both recipes were featured on the site!

The other recipe I submitted was “Not my mother’s stuffed acorn squash.” I submitted it as a dessert and even put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on it. YUMM! Prior to this past year, I’d never really won anything, so when I saw I was one of the “runners-up” winners of this contest I was super excited. Instructables is an all-ages website, so the contest had entries from children and adults, but I was still excited!

I won an Amazon gift card, which I have used to buy Soy Sauce in cute little dispensers like they have at the restaurants, Pear Infused White Balsalmic Vinegar and what was left went to a new office chair for my day job. That’s right folks, in order to be comfortable and not in pain I had to get my own chair, but it’s so worth it! Office chairs are hella expensive and a coworker suggested I look into gaming chairs. I got this one. It was relatively inexpensive and I put it together with plenty of lunch hour to spare. It’s not a $400 office chair, but it’s better than a $49.99 office chair… and I did I mention the lumbar pillow is a vibrating massage pillow?

My Copycat Panera Four-Cheese Breakfast Soufflé recipe is my most popular recipe post!

This year I also won a signed paperback Touch of Smoke by Karissa Laurel. I’m so far behind in my TBR list right now, I’m ashamed to say I haven’t read it yet! SHHH don’t tell her! She seems super cool and this book has “supernatural evil” so I’m putting it NEXT on the TBR!

Have you won anything recently? I may have to re-title the name of the recipe to “Award Winning” Copycat Panera Four-Cheese Breakfast Soufflé!
